Auditions for Upcoming Shows

Seussical

Auditions will be on Friday, November 8 from 6-8 pm and Saturday, November 9 from 10am-noon, at the theatre (711 Story Street in Boone).

Note that the version of this show that we will be doing is the "Seussical TYA", which is a streamlined version designed for audiences of all ages. It leaves out some nonessential parts of the full musical, making it easier for kids to sit through without making it any less entertaining for adults.

Preparation Information:

1. Prepare 16-32 bars of a song from the show or in the style of the show. You may sing a cappella or bring a backing track on your phone. A Bluetooth speaker will be available.
2. Prepare (memorization is not necessary) one monologue from this list: Seussical Audition Sides
3. In addition to your prepared monologue, you might be asked to do cold reading for one or more characters from the show.
4. You will learn and perform some choreography during the audition, so please dress comfortably and wear appropriate shoes.

We are so excited to announce the cast of Seussical TYA. We had a phenomenal turnout for auditions and regret that we could not offer every single enthusiastic auditioner a part. Whether you got a part or not, we hope you enjoyed the audition process and get even stronger for your next audition. If you would still like to be a part of the show, we will have some set building, set painting, and other tech workdays sometime in the new year. We will also have opportunities for people interested in helping with decorations, carnival games, and concessions. Please reach out if interested. Also, bear in mind the next show in our 2024-2025 season will have parts for both kids and adults.
